How do I find the items I want?
You can find items by searching the online catalogue or Hume Libraries App. They will display whether we have the item you want, which library has a copy and whether it is on the shelf or on loan. The catalogue is also a great tool for browsing titles by authors and various other categories.
How many items can I place on hold?
You may have up to 20 holds on your card at any given time.
How long do I have to pick up my hold(s)?
You have 7 days to pick up your holds from the date of receiving a notification.
What if the library does not have the title I am looking for?
We welcome requests for items we don’t hold in our collection. You can make a recommendation online or at one of our library branches. We will consider purchasing items that are available in Australia at a reasonable cost, are suitable for a public library collection, and would be expected to generate multiple loans.
