Warm Winter Read 2023
Published on 25 May 2023
Hume Libraries is participating in the PLV Warm Winter Read this year, from 1 June to 31 August 2023.
The Warm Winter Read aims to encourage adult readers (16+) across Victoria to create healthy reading habits by tracking the days participants read over June, July and August 2023. If you always mean to read more often, but never get around to it, this is the challenge for you!
To participate, all you need to do is sign up on Beanstack, log your reading, and complete challenges. Ask your friendly library staff if you need help signing up, or if you want a book recommendation. Books, eBooks and audiobooks all count towards your goal.
BEANSTACK PARTICIPATION GUIDE
1. SIGN UP
Search for Beanstack in your app store or sign up here. Make sure you select Hume Libraries as your primary library when you create your account!
2. LOG YOUR READING
Log each day you read something, regardless of whether you read for 5 minutes or 5 hours. You are also able to log a book you are reading, including start date, pages completed and finish date if you would like.
3. CHALLENGES
Tick off the six challenge activities as you progress through the challenge period. These are not compulsory but they are perfect for anyone who enjoys the satisfaction of ticking boxes and winning things!
If you’re on social media, you can tag @humelibraries and use the #WarmWinterRead2023 hashtag to share the challenge and your progress.
Happy reading!
