Youth Photography Competition: How Do You See It?

Into smartphone photography? Show us the world through your eyes – get inspired by friends, family, daily life, or anything else that matters to you.

The top ten photos will be exhibited in Hume Libraries branches, and prizes are available in the following categories:

Terms and Conditions

1. The competition is open only to people aged between 12 – 18 years who live or attend a school in Hume City.
2. The competition closes on Friday 14 October 2022 at 5pm. Late entries will not be accepted.
3. Up to three photos per person may be submitted.
4. Submissions can be shot and edited on any smartphone (inclusive of all types). Photos can be edited, but only with apps that are available on smartphones. Laptops or desktop computers should not be used for editing.
5. Before submission, people featured within photos must provide permission for their image to appear in online and print publications.
6. Submissions must be the entrant’s own work.
7. Copyright for photos is owned by the photographer. However, the photographer grants Hume City Council permission to use the photographs and the entrant’s full name for promotional purposes including publication in online and print media.
8. Entrants must have permission to enter from a parent or guardian. Parents/guardians must complete the online section of the form agreeing to the terms and conditions.
9. The judging panel’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
10. Finalists’ photos will be displayed in an exhibition within Hume Libraries branches.
